Here we go again!!
As the first week of module 2 has come to an end, I have found myself feeling really excited about the weeks ahead with this module. Although I'm feeling nervous about the idea of philosophical thinking, I think it'll be good to take myself out of my comfort zone.
However, for now, it is back to writing my remaining 2 RPL essays, which oddly feel like coming back to an old familiar friend. My final 2 RPL essays centre around 'teaching to support student's physical and mental needs in the classroom' and 'teaching to shape movements and create aesthetics'. As they are both fairly contrasting essays in terms of content it allows me to look back over my teaching career thus far, and determine what I do in my teaching practice to acknowledge these topics.
It's nice to be back in the realms of research and thinking and I'm looking forward to meeting everyone that is just beginning their journey with module one. Heres to a great term everyone!
Hi Ellie, your AOL essay topics sound extremely interesting and I’m sure you’ll be surprised what and how you can relate to them from your teaching experience.
ReplyDeleteModule two, I found, really does take you out of your comfort zone and into an environment that is perhaps a very different approach to how we think in our practices. Keep reading and searching around for what sits with you the best philosophically, I’m sure you’ll find it very interesting. All the best to you for the term ahead.
Hi Susan. I'm really enjoying them so far, and finding it very interesting, I'm looking forward to delving into the topics further.
DeleteI'm not looking forward to being out of my comfort zone, but I know it'll do me good! Thank you for the tips.
Good luck to you for module three!
Hello Ellie,
ReplyDeleteBeing outside of your comfort zone is a good thing. It means we are challenging ourselves to think differently and take note of what our philosophies are currently. Its also fascinating to discover other philosophies that relate to your own, but also offer new thoughts and directions. It's both scary and exciting to be outside of that comfort zone!
Hi Ellie, yes I am so far out of my comfort zone its daunting. I need to "let go" and as Helen wrote in my feedback, try not to take a defeated tone and look for an easy option! I am determined to be more philosophical and read as much as I can. Lets hope this term is successful for us all!
